The Elizabethan is the main magazine of Westminster School and was begun by pupils 1874. Although now only published annually the magazine was originally produced on an almost monthly basis and provides great insight into the school, its staff and pupils.

The Elizabethan includes school notes, match reports, features, correspondence and alumni news. The wartime issues include lists of men who have enrolled and details of those who died. For those who are descended from or related to Old Westminsters, this resource may provide some insight into their lives and characters – as long as they warranted a mention in the magazine!

This website provides access to back issues of The Elizabethan from its establishment in 1874. The magazines have been digitally scanned so that all the text is searchable and each individual article has been categorised. You can search the database by keyword/name and narrow down your search by year and/or category. You can also browse issues by year.
